Making a scene (and a zoom background)

This was my first time working in blender in a while, and it felt nice to get back into it. I've been setting up for an animation that I've been wanting to make since freshman year about a girl growing up and the environment growing up with her. The animation was inspired by the view from my bedroom window: when I look outside, I see a huge, gorgeous tree. It's green during summer, golden during fall (so that it actually casts a glow in my room), barren and covered with beautiful snow during the winter, and growing leaves during spring. It is currently spring, so the image below is a fairly accurate depiction of what my backyard looks like.

For the purposes of this iteration, however, I focused on creating a zoom background for myself since I figured it was an adequate project to start with. While it did turn out accurately for the most part, I wasn't too in love with the tree, so I'll probably change that when I do the animation. I also got much more familiar with 2.8's sapling tree generator and I think I can create a good variety of trees. The challenge here will be the leaves and controlling when they fall or grow back.

Either way, I figure it's a good start to get the juices flowing and I'm excited to keep on working on this and perhaps make some more random models.
