Experimentation Page: My first (real) go at photoshop

I really wanted to create a background for my computer myself, and I had been meaning to try out photoshop for a while. So, I decided to experiment with it and figure out photoshop. I worked mostly with drawing myself instead of integrating pre-created pictures. As you can see, I stuck with a color scheme for a while, but I mostly worked with layers and filters.

The first image I made features a (mediocre) drawing of a girl. She turned out kind of choppy, so I decided to give it a graffiti feel. I like how she looks kind of mischievous, and the piece kind of reminds me of Avril Lavigne. I used a mouse to draw it, as i did with the other pieces. It's also good practice fir any future 2D projects. I also worked with contrast and brightness. As this was my first piece, I spent quite a bit of time trying to get it right, and it is by no means perfect, but I like how it turned out.

This is the second image I tried, and I stuck with the same color scheme. The word there means color, which gave me the idea for my last piece. In this one, I worked with a filter called "Vivid Light". I really liked how this one turned out, the text is glowing, which I find to be a really cool effect. I might continue this method of text in my mother tongue, with different colors that relate to the words.

This is my final piece. I worked with the vivid light filter again, but this time. I change my color scheme to rainbow. I also used the smudge tool to give it the wavy and blended effect. The tool is kind of weird, but it's almost like a simulation. I went with the theme of words in front of colors. I'm not a big fan of just, "Color", but...eh. I'll come up with something cooler eventually.

Ultimately, it's not great, but I think it's a good start. I'm definitely going to continue experimenting with photoshop and include it in my future work. I'm excited to explore it more and see what I can do with it. I also stuck with a black background, and I might change that next time around.
